Admission for Bangladeshis to the MBBS program at all medical colleges in Bangladesh (government and private) is conducted centrally by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). It administers a written multiple choice question exam simultaneously throughout the country. Candidates are admitted based primarily on their score on this test, although grades at Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC).

Jalalabad Regib-Rabeya Medical College Sylhet was established in 1995 and is situated in divisional headquarter of Sylhet division and located at Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Road, Pathantula, Sylhet, Bangaldesh, Jalalabd Regib-Rabeya Medical College Sylhet which is about 225 KMs from Dhaka, the capital of Balgladesh. Sylhet is the land of saints and sufis and may be termed as the spiritual centre of Bangladesh. It is surrounded by lush tea gardens, hills and valleys in a picturesque landscape. It has an excellent rail, road, air and river communications linking with capital city Dhaka as well as Port city Chittagong. It takes only 22 minutes by air from Dhaka to Sylhut and 4-1/2 hours by road.


Barind Medical College was established in 2011 and located at Rajshahi, the educational city of Bangladesh 252 km north-west of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Travel time from Dhaka by Air- 35 minutes, Road- 4 hours 30 minutes, Rail- 5 hours 30 minutes. Total Campus is 3 acres (approx.) with Academic & Hospital floor space 1,70,000 sq.ft. (approx.).

Course offered: MBBS Course duration is 5 years in four phase and compulsory one year Internship.


Eastern Medical College & Hospital Ltd, was established in 2005 and located in Kabila Burichanq Upazila, Comilla, Distt. , Bangladesh. Their academic staff is 142 in 2014. The college offers a five-year course of study, approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Chittagong University. After passing the final professional examination, there is a compulsory one-year internship. The internship is a prerequisite for obtaining registration from the BMDC to practice medicine. In October 2014, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare capped admission and tuition fees at private medical colleges at 1,990,000 Bangladeshi taka (US$25,750 as of 2014) total for their five-year courses.


Tairunessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital Ltd, was established in 2002 and is located at Konia Gazipur Sadar Upazilla, Gazipur Distt., Bangladesh, Its Academic Staff is 143 and Students are 700. It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The degree is recognised by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. The TMMC has around 600 students, including students from Nepal and India. The hospital has expanded to 500-beds, and provides a 24-hour emergency service, with additional trauma center, EPI etc. 255 MBBS doctors have passed till 2014 December.


Enam clinic was established in 1989 by Md Enamur Rahman. It was established as a medical college and renamed to Enam Medical College and Hospital in 2003 in Savar, Dhaka District, Bangladesh Garment workers from the 2013 Savar building collapse were treated in Enam Medical College. Enam Medical College & Hospital is located at 9/3, Parboti Nagar, Thana Road, Saver, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Its Academic Staff 200 in 2017 and 850 Students. The college offers a five-year course of study, approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Dhaka University. After passing the fina internship.


North East Medical College is established in 1998 and is located at Sylhut, Soth Surma, Bangladesh. Their Academic Staff 197 in 2017 and 600 Students. on the southern fringes of Sylhet, 300 metres (980 ft) south of the Dhaka – Sylhet Highway The main buildings on campus are an academic building and North East Medical College Hospital, the college’s 800-bed teaching hospital.


The establishment of a medical college imparting medical education leading to recognized medical degree was taken as the first and foremost aim to the institute. Prime Medical college started functioning from 2008-2009 sessions by admitting 50 students.

The Rajshahi University granted affiliation to the College on 1st November 2010.

The objectives of the Institute are:

  • To promote and provide studies in Medical Science leading to be recognized by the postgraduate institutes.
  • To conduct research work on the diseases prevalent in the country.
  • To conduct research on medical education with the aim of raising the standard of medical education in the country.


With a view to establish a new Medical College& Hospital in an attempt to produce expert health manpower as well as to provide a low cost but without compromising ‘quality’ to provide optimum health care, a group of noble dreamers got together by 2008 under the banner of Parkview Health Care Pvt Ltd & Associates of Parkview Health Care Pvt Ltd. As a consequence, Parkview Medical College has opened its door with 1st batch of students of MBBS course from January 2014.


Dr. Sirajul Islam Medical College is a private medical college in Bangladesh and it approved by the government. The college was established in 2011. It is located in Maghbazar, Dhaka. The College is affiliated with the Dhaka University since 31 December, 2011 and recognized by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare as well as by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. The Founder chairman of the college is Late Dr. Sirajul Islam. The college campus has a 12 storied modern academic building attached with a 21 storied and 500 bedded hospital at the heart of the Dhaka City.

It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. The degree of the college is recognised by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.


Dhama Community Medical College was established in 2008. It offers five years MBBS course & BDS course. It is a private Medical College located at Boro Moghbazar, Wireless Rail Gate, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is run by Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCH Trust). DCMC has 100 seats for girls & boys also has its own building with 500 bedded hospital, library & canteen etc for all students.


East – West Medical College was established in 2000. It is situated at the bank of the river Turag with beautiful natural flourishing surroundings, and five kilometers away from Hazrat Shah Jalal International airport.

The academic and Hospital building of the institute is built on its own land of Alim Foundation, having modern classrooms, lecture galleries, practical classrooms, departmental museums, library, reading rooms and teachers corner etc. It also accommodates a cafeteria, a Mosque and separate common rooms for male and female students with facilities for indoor and outdoor games. There are separate hostels for boys and girls consisting a total 1050 seats of which 550 seats are for female and 500 seats are for male students.


Mainamoti Medical College & Hospital was established in 2011. The aim of the Medical College & Hospital is to teach selected candidates for five academic years according to the syllabus laid down by Bangladesh Medical Bangladesh a developing country burdened with a huge human cargo, is uniquely placed to harness her human resource potential to the benefit of its people through effective resturing of the existing health care delivery system with major shift towards to the benefit of its people through effective rupturing of the existing health care delivery system with major shift towards primary health care approach. Mainamoti Medical College is a Non Government Organization. Establishment of such a national problems through basic and applied research and by encouraging self-reliance in population.


Dhaka Central International Medical College was established in 2010 and is located at 2/1 Ring Road, Shyamoli, Mohammadpur, Dhaka. Bangladesh. At DCIMC, international students are an integral and important part of our diverse campus. Most of the students come from India and Nepal. Right now there are 120 foreign students studying in our medical college. DCIMC provide fully secured and separate hostel for male and female students under respective hostel supervisor.
